Advanced Primary Health Care School l APHC

This course prepares students who have completed HLC 261 & 262 for long-term medical missions and influence in the sphere of health care. In addition to broadening the student’s scope of practice through topics such as obstetrics and basic dentistry, the course includes training in more advanced clinical and assessment skills and emphasizes on a holistic approach to health. Focus is given to eradicating diseases and finding solutions to current health problems in both urban and rural settings. Research and in-depth biblical studies enable the student to focus on the end goal of long-term missions.

This course is part of the Health care College from the University of the Nations.

Lecture phase – 3 Months.

You will gain deeper knowledge and understanding in primary healthcare, and develop new clinical skills such as intravenous therapy, basic suturing techniques, casting and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation, basic dentistry and build confidence in the diagnosis and management of common tropical diseases in developing nations while gaining a biblical worldview of health.
